In commemoration of the day this year, the U.N. hosted a live webcast event to connect young people worldwide. Entitled “We Are Family: Educating Our Children for a Safer World” , this hour-long program was intended to welcome diversity, strengthen the human spirit, and give “voice” to today's youth. Four short video segments of workshops held prior to the event in New York City kindergarten, elementary, middle and high schools introduced new, compelling diversity curricula, available for download on the We Are Family Foundation's website.
