Nile Rodgers presents a three part documentary series covering one of the most significant periods in American history - the struggle for black civil rights in the 1960s.

Forty years after the signing of the Civil Rights Act by President Lyndon Johnson which outlawed racial segregation, Chic front man Rodgers - a former Black Panther and committed civil rights activist - examines the key moments in the fight for black equality in America: the death of Emmett Till, the Montgomery bus boycott, the March on Washington and the brutal suppression of black protest in Birmingham and at Selma.
