HARTFORD, Conn. – Connecticut Public Broadcasting, Inc. (CPBI), parent company of Connecticut Public Television
(CPTV) and WNPR-Connecticut Public Radio, has announced the addition of four new members to its Board of
Trustees. The new members, who were elected to four-year terms at CPBI’s annual meeting in June, are listed
below in alphabetical order:
Arthur H. Diedrick
Arthur H. Diedrick is a commissioner of the Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism. Diedrick also serves
as President and Chief Executive Officer of the White Memorial Foundation and Conservation Center in
Litchfield, Conn. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Connecticut Junior Republic.
From 1962 to 1975, Diedrick was with Cowles Communications, Inc., where he was President of the Magazine
Division and served on the Executive Review Committee. In 1975, Diedrick founded Communications International,
which currently operates Banner Direct, a full-service, direct marketing agency specializing in strategic
planning, creative development and production management.
From 1995 to 2004, Diedrick served simultaneously as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the following
State of Connecticut Authorities: The Connecticut Development Authority; Connecticut Innovations, Inc.; The
Connecticut Housing Finance Authority; The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund; Eastern Connecticut State
University’s Institute for Sustainable Energy; The University of Connecticut’s Global Fuel Cell Center; and The
Connecticut Brownfields Redevelopment Authority.
A graduate of Deerfield Academy and Yale University, Diedrick also served in the U.S. Air Force.
Dijuana K. Lewis
Dijuana K. Lewis is President of Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield Northeast Markets. She is responsible for
membership growth, marketing and product development, provider contracting and relations, sales and
underwriting for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans in Connecticut, New Hampshire and Maine, overseeing
more than $6 billion in premiums and equivalent for more than 2.6 million customers served by approximately
3,000 associates.
Lewis has been in the health care field for 17 years, working in all areas of a health plan including provider
contracting and servicing, sales and marketing, customer service, claims, utilization management and quality
assurance. She is a member of numerous professional organizations and has spoken at national and regional
conferences pertaining to health care management, predictive modeling, quality improvement programs and trends
in the health care industry.
Lewis earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University and her Master of Business Administration
degree from Wesleyan University in Indiana.
Nile Rodgers
As a songwriter, producer and musician, the career of Nile Rodgers is one of the most enduring and prolific in
music. His signature is scrawled across an amazing array of music – from Madonna to Eric Clapton. Rodgers and
his late music partner Bernard Edwards introduced the world to their band CHIC in 1977, and their No. 1 hit
song “Le Freak” remains Warner Bros. biggest-selling single of all time. As a four-time Grammy nominee, Rodgers
has written for, produced and/or played for artists such as Diana Ross, Mick Jagger, David Bowie, Sister
Sledge, Duran Duran, Britney Spears, Sting, The B-52’s, Jeff Beck, INXS, Steve Vai, Maroon 5 and many more. He
is currently executive producing the debut album for Interscope’s new artist Lanz and is the music supervisor
for the highly anticipated new video game “Halo 3.”
As an entrepreneur, Rodgers has founded multiple entertainment/media-based companies including Beehive Global
and Sumthing Distribution. Beehive Global manages a stable of composers who this year alone have five major
film releases including “Miami Vice” and “Snakes on a Plane.” Sumthing Distribution is the only
African-American-owned national music distribution company and specializes in video game music soundtracks.
In addition, Rodgers is the founder and chairman of the We Are Family Foundation, a non-profit named after his
world-renowned song “We Are Family” and dedicated to promoting the vision of a global family through education.
Over the years, Rodgers has also served as a trustee and governor for the National Association of Recording
Arts & Sciences (NARAS), participating in various capacities with the P & E Wing, TV Committee for the Grammy
Awards Show, Grammy in the Schools and the Law Initiative.
Pamela S. Pagnani Tricomi
Pamela S. Pagnani Tricomi has worked as an attorney in the Real Estate & Corporate Department of Dewey
Ballantine, LLP, in New York City since 2005. Her previous positions in New York included: Operations Officer,
Assistant Vice President for Hartford Financial Products; General Counsel, Vice President for Vanderbilt
Properties; and Claims Counsel, Vice President for Douglas Elliman.
A resident of New Canann, Conn., Pagnani is a Trustee of Greenwich Academy. She has been an active volunteer
with AmeriCares of New Canaan, Conn. She was an elected member of the Greenwich Town Representative Meeting
from 1995-1999 and was President of the Young Grand Old Party of Greenwich from 1996-1998. She has served as an
alternate to the Zoning Board of Appeals in Greenwich and a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals in New
Canaan. She also was a member of the Junior Leagues of Greenwich and New York, and a member of the Scholarship
Committee for the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich.
Pagnani is a graduate of Greenwich Academy and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science/Economics
from Trinity University in Washington, D.C. She also is a graduate of Quinnipiac University School of Law.
